Office is clean and neat. Receptionist prompt to address you. All appointments have been on time. Great to have such exemplary health care.

Addressed my concerns adequately

I ended up getting a rash the majority on my body and had no idea why. I tried everything over the counter including oatmeal baths to changing my laundry soap and new bed sheets and nothing worked. I couldn’t take it any longer and went to Renown Urgent Care one weekend and was given a steroid pill. It worked for a day then my rash was back. I went to my primary doctor and she thought I had strep. I was given a steroid shot and said if that doesn’t work we will get you in to see a dermatologist. I waited for days for a referral and couldn’t take it any longer. I had to be proactive because it was starting to affect my quality of life and my stress level was very high. That is when I found Kyle Machynia, PA. He knew within one minute of seeing me, I had eczema. I was shocked! I had never been diagnosed with eczema before in my 41 years and you would think your primary doctor would mention this since it’s so common in people. I was impressed! He even had a UNR student shadowing him and I thought that was wonderful. And the UNR student even knew within a minute it was eczema as well. I was given a prescription of cream to help and it worked immediately. He even recommended an over the counter moisturizing cream to replace my current lotion. I cannot thank you enough and will be recommending your team to everyone.

Kyle is a very thoughtful, caring individual. He strives to work efficiently and carefully. He is thorough and concise so I do not have to return except for once each 6 months to keep up with my treatment for "pre-cancerous" skin issues which randomly show up. I enjoy his personal approach to treatment and trust his judgement. He is also a good conversationalist, and mentions things of interest to me during our short visits.

Had my annual skin exam yesterday with Dr. Mortensen. He was very thorough and found what may be a spot on my arm that needed to be sent to pathology to check to see if it is a cancer. He was very skilled as he removed the small spot. Dr. Mortensen also found a few spots that needed to be frozen. I was pleased with the way my appointment went, and appreciated the nurse who helped me get an appointment for next year. The people at Integrated Dermatology are caring professionals, and I thank them for that.

I have never been in a doctor's off where I felt more comfortable, well-treated, and relaxed. The office staff were extremely kind to me, and they tried to make me feel at home. Dr. Mortensen gave me the best check-up of my skin problems I've ever had, and treatments were quick and painless. I'm a vet and the VA was unable to get me in. Since I'm 100% disabled, I was offered treatment outside the VA. I'm really glad I chose to do that. I have PTSD, and agoraphobia, so I hate leaving home.
